Ma quanto sono davvero \u201cinnocui\u201d? E, soprattutto, <strong data-start=\"266\" data-end=\"294\">quanta caffeina \u00e8 troppa<\/strong>per il nostro organismo?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"323\" data-end=\"770\">Partiamo da un dato: circa il 90% degli adulti nel mondo assume caffeina ogni giorno, soprattutto tramite caff\u00e8, t\u00e8, bibite, barrette energetiche e, appunto, energy drink. Il mercato globale di queste bevande ha superato i 190 miliardi di dollari nel 2023, con gli Stati Uniti al primo posto per consumo: in media quasi otto galloni (decine di litri) di bevande sportive ed energetiche all\u2019anno per persona. <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"><span class=\"ms-1 inline-flex max-w-full items-center relative top-[-0.094rem] animate-[show_150ms_ease-in]\" data-testid=\"webpage-citation-pill\"><a class=\"flex h-4.5 overflow-hidden rounded-xl px-2 text-[9px] font-medium transition-colors duration-150 ease-in-out text-token-text-secondary! bg-[#F4F4F4]! dark:bg-[#303030]!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org\/hometown-health\/speaking-of-health\/the-buzz-on-energy-drinks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"relative start-0 bottom-0 flex h-full w-full items-center\"><span class=\"flex h-4 w-full items-center justify-between overflow-hidden\"><span class=\"max-w-[15ch] grow truncate overflow-hidden text-center\">Mayo Clinic Health System<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"843\">Perch\u00e9 funzionano cos\u00ec \u201cbene\u201d? E dove sta il confine tra uso e abuso?<\/h2>\n<h3 data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"903\">Quanta caffeina possiamo assumere senza rischi?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"905\" data-end=\"1502\">Le linee guida della Food and Drug Administration (FDA) statunitense \u2013 che vengono spesso usate come riferimento anche a livello internazionale \u2013 indicano <strong data-start=\"1060\" data-end=\"1158\">come dose massima ragionevolmente sicura per un adulto sano circa 400 mg di caffeina al giorno<\/strong>, l\u2019equivalente di due o tre tazze grandi di caff\u00e8 filtro. Per chi \u00e8 in gravidanza o allatta, la raccomandazione scende a <strong data-start=\"1280\" data-end=\"1306\">circa 200 mg al giorno<\/strong>. Una singola lattina pu\u00f2 contenere <strong data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"1618\">da 100 a 300 mg di caffeina<\/strong>. A dosi moderate, in molte persone pu\u00f2:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2523\" data-end=\"2916\">\n<li data-start=\"2523\" data-end=\"2588\">\n<p data-start=\"2525\" data-end=\"2588\">migliorare attenzione, prontezza mentale e tempi di reazione;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2589\" data-end=\"2659\">\n<p data-start=\"2591\" data-end=\"2659\">attenuare la sensazione di sonnolenza quando abbiamo dormito poco;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2660\" data-end=\"2916\">\n<p data-start=\"2662\" data-end=\"2916\">essere associata \u2013 quando arriva da caff\u00e8 o t\u00e8 consumati con moderazione e in uno stile di vita sano \u2013 a un minor rischio di diabete di tipo 2, infarto, ictus, Parkinson, alcune malattie del fegato e perfino gotta. <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"><span class=\"ms-1 inline-flex max-w-full items-center relative top-[-0.094rem] animate-[show_150ms_ease-in]\" data-testid=\"webpage-citation-pill\"><a class=\"flex h-4.5 overflow-hidden rounded-xl px-2 text-[9px] font-medium transition-colors duration-150 ease-in-out text-token-text-secondary! bg-[#F4F4F4]! dark:bg-[#303030]!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org\/hometown-health\/speaking-of-health\/the-buzz-on-energy-drinks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"relative start-0 bottom-0 flex h-full w-full items-center\"><span class=\"flex h-4 w-full items-center justify-between overflow-hidden\"><span class=\"max-w-[15ch] grow truncate overflow-hidden text-center\">Mayo Clinic Health System<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2918\" data-end=\"3165\">Ma questi possibili benefici sono stati studiati soprattutto <strong data-start=\"2979\" data-end=\"2997\">per caff\u00e8 e t\u00e8<\/strong>, spesso all\u2019interno di diete ricche di frutta, verdura e attivit\u00e0 fisica, non per lattine ad alto contenuto di zuccheri, aromi, estratti vegetali e altri stimolanti.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3167\" data-end=\"3544\">Quando saliamo con le dosi di caffeina, soprattutto se concentrate in poco tempo, la stessa sostanza che ci \u201csveglia\u201d pu\u00f2 diventare un problema: aumentano nervosismo, ansia, tachicardia, difficolt\u00e0 ad addormentarsi, irritabilit\u00e0. Dentro una lattina possiamo trovare:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3726\" data-end=\"3909\">\n<li data-start=\"3726\" data-end=\"3771\">\n<p data-start=\"3728\" data-end=\"3771\">grandi quantit\u00e0 di <strong data-start=\"3747\" data-end=\"3768\">zuccheri aggiunti<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3772\" data-end=\"3800\">\n<p data-start=\"3774\" data-end=\"3800\">aminoacidi come taurina;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3801\" data-end=\"3859\">\n<p data-start=\"3803\" data-end=\"3859\">estratti vegetali (guaran\u00e0, ginseng, yerba mate ecc.);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3860\" data-end=\"3909\">\n<p data-start=\"3862\" data-end=\"3909\">vitamine del gruppo B e altri micronutrienti.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3911\" data-end=\"4229\">Lo zucchero merita una pausa a parte. Alcuni punti che emergono dalle revisioni sistematiche e dai report pi\u00f9 recenti:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"5346\" data-end=\"6466\">\n<li data-start=\"5346\" data-end=\"5839\">\n<p data-start=\"5348\" data-end=\"5839\"><strong data-start=\"5348\" data-end=\"5375\">Sistema cardiovascolare<\/strong>: diversi lavori mostrano che, dopo il consumo di energy drink, si osservano aumenti significativi di pressione arteriosa e frequenza cardiaca e, in alcuni casi, alterazioni dell\u2019elettrocardiogramma (come prolungamento del QTc).
